Tucked away in the hills of Cooktown, Milkwood Lodge provided a tranquil escape where I indulged in some much-needed relaxation. The split-level cabin exuded a welcoming aroma and boasted meticulous cleanliness. The comfortable bed ensured a restful sleep, and the thoughtful details like elegantly set cutlery and complimentary candles added a touch of charm.The serene environment, surrounded by lush vegetation, offered a glimpse into nature's beauty. Our days were filled with delightful encounters with the local wildlife, including a majestic peacock perched on our balcony and vibrant butterflies fluttering around the bushes. It was a peaceful retreat that allowed me to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.The spa facilities, including the year-round outdoor pool and sun deck, provided a serene space to unwind. The friendly staff and convenient 24-hour reception further enhanced the overall experience. While slightly removed from the village, the lodge's seclusion added to its appeal, making it a perfect choice for a tranquil getaway in Cooktown.
